Winchelsea Summer Fete is a landmark annual event for the whole town, and will take place on Saturday 13th August 2022 from 12.30pm until 4.30pm on the Cricket Field and in the New Hall

The fun Dog Show will once again form the centrepiece. Anyone with a dog they love and are proud of can enter, with classes and prizes for dogs of every description and character. There will be stalls galore, games, and miniature railway, with barbecue and refreshments served throughout the afternoon. Music will be provided by the Hooe Silver Band.

This year we will be raising money for the Rye Food Bank, the Rother Responders, Rye Memorial Hospital, and the New Hall Refurbishment programme.  There’s no better way to raise money than by having a fun day out with the whole family, including some of your beloved pets.

If you would like to know more about any aspect of the Summer Fete, please contact John Davidson on 01797 223754 or email john.davidson47@outlook.com

FOAM (Friends of the Ancient Monuments and Museum) will be running a bottle stall as a fundraiser.  John Lusk would be grateful for bottles of wine of all sorts.  To arrange delivery or collection, phone 01797 224290 or 07889 604862.

Last year The Tombola Stall raised £300 + and it aims to do just as well, if not better this year. Success depends on your kindness in sourcing and donating suitable prizes/gifts. We will accept any household/garden/DIY items.  We will also hope to increase the prizes on the Children’s Tombola Stall.  So please if you can source any unwanted suitable item please consider donating it.

We aim to increase the variety of prizes this year. We will be accepting food and drink in unopened bottles, jars, packets or boxes provided they are unopened and within the sell by/best before date.  Attractive cups and saucers would be welcome as they can be packaged into themed gifts.

We will collect items from you or you can deliver. Please contact Lyn or John on 01797 223754 to arrange collection or leave at 1 Barrack Square.
