Winchelsea Gardens opened for charity on 18th and 19th June 2022 and £8000 was raised
Ten Winchelsea Gardens opened on Saturday 18th June 2022 for the National Garden Scheme
£6,500 was raised for the charities the scheme supports, plus £500 for Friary Gardeners which offers horticultural training and greater independence to adults with a wide spectrum of learning difficulties.
There was a smaller scale opening on the afternoon of Sunday 19th June which raised £1,000 for the Friends of the Hospital at Rye.
Adding in the sums raised when the gardens opened at Easter, visitors have contributed £11,000 to charity in 2022.
