The Little Shop
Winchelsea’s much-loved Little Shop is well on the way to becoming a community owned business.
In March 2025 a town meeting was held to explain how this might happen. In October a second meeting was held to update the town on the good progress that has been made. More than 90 residents attended, demonstrating just how important securing the future of our shop is to the town.
At the meeting, the five members of the steering group announced that a Community Benefit Society has now been established, to operate the shop. It’s called the ‘Winchelsea Community Shop Limited’ and has been registered with the Financial Conduct Authority.
