Winchelsea Guy Fawkes Society are pleased to announce details of the society’s first firework event, which will take place on Saturday 3rd November 2018
This will be a small, family event and everyone is welcome.
The time to gather is 6pm in the New Inn car park (please note the car park will be closed to all vehicles from 3pm onwards)
As well as drinks and meals available inside the pub, the New Inn will also be selling roast pork/turkey rolls and traditional hot dogs in the car park area, throughout the evening.
There will be a short playlet, followed by the assembly of the drummers and torch lit procession. The procession will then take a short route to the firework viewing area, where the firework display will commence.
Apart from giving people a great time, our key objective is safety. If you do attend, please listen to safety announcements, and follow the guidance of the marshals.
Please do not bring your own fireworks or sparklers to this event, and ensure that you always stay inside the designated safety cordon on the firework field
The event will conclude no later than 7.30pm when donations can be made
Food and drinks will still be available in the New Inn after the Fireworks
