Winchelsea, East Sussex

The town has many connection with well-known artists, and appears in a number of famous paintings, such as those shown above by Turner and Millais, including The Blind Girl (with Winchelsea in the background) and L'enfant du regiment  (painted inside St Thomas' Church).
